Oxford and Cambridge University rugby league clubs have appointed Rhino Rugby as ball supplier to the 2013 Rugby League Varsity Match.
The match – the 33rd between the light and dark blues – takes place on the afternoon of Friday 8th March at the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) in the heart of the City of London and again sees Rhino Rugby balls being used for the second consecutive year.
Reg Clark, Rhino CEO and an Oxford rugby union Blue, said “We’re delighted to be once again supporting the Rugby League Varsity Match. Varsity matches are unique events in a sport’s calendar and as well as being the official Super League and RFL ball supplier, the Varsity Match is another part of rugby league that Rhino Rugby is very happy to support.”
As well as providing balls for the game, Rhino will be giving balls away to lucky spectators as part of the half-time crossbar challenge and have donated raffle and auction prizes to the pre-match lunch.
Varsity Match promoter Mark Ramsdale of MR Sport said “Rhino Rugby has a great reputation from junior through to international level; they provide quality equipment and both clubs are looking forward to using their balls again in a month’s time.“
